The Guide to Getting Gorgeous

Falling in love with your most confident and individual self.

Getting gorgeous starts long before you pick out an outfit- it’s about how you feel. Some days, it’s in the quiet ritual of standing in front of your closet, trying to decide who you want to be today. Other days, it’s spontaneous — you reach for your favorite denim, a pair of heels that feel like confidence, and the lipstick that always pulls you together.

It’s knowing that being fashionable or what some may call “put together” doesn’t mean being perfect. It means being intentional.

The ChicCoterie was created in the space right between intention and instinct; for those who want to live authentically, think boldly, and never apologize for being themselves. This space is part moodboard, part diary, maybe even part guide.

So, consider this your official invitation to step into your most magnetic era. the version of yourself that doesn’t need approval to feel beautiful.

Let’s start with the foundation — your mindset.

ACCEPT YOUR FLAWS

“I feel too short — I’m 5’2”. I’m petite, and that was something that bothered me for a while. Besides the fact that I was obsessed with model cat walking growing up, I discovered high heels in my mom’s closet at a young age. Once I came to terms with my height, my fashion sense was cage-free.

There’s a tense intimacy between just you, the mirror, and your outfit. It’s as if the jeans aren’t fitting right, your shirt doesn’t look right, and your hair won’t cooperate. We get caught up in adjusting and tucking that we forget that’s the texture of real beauty and authenticity.

You know that feeling when you’re looking in your closet and can’t find ANYTHING to wear? Well, I’ve been there too, especially in my 20s. My style is evolving. Often, we find ourselves doom-scrolling, looking for the “perfect” outfit inspo, but what is a perfect outfit? Are we wondering if our friends are going to like it, if it’s out of style, too much, or not enough? Then it came to me.

“Authenticity is the quality of being genuine and true to oneself.
